If you scroll through LP videos on YouTube long enough, you’ll surely come across this unreleased song, “All This Time,” that seems to be quite a rarity. Besides the Chipotle Cultivate Festival performance, we haven’t found any other video that would feature it. And, well, by replaying it once or twice, or maybe more, we came up with the lyrics to the song. Don’t get your hopes too high, though – trying to get the lyrics right on the grounds of a singular performance doesn’t make any sense. So here they are.

LP wrote this song with her mentor, Billy Steinberg, alongside Billy’s long-time songwriting partner, Josh Alexander. It could have happened around 2011, when LP was writing songs for her then upcoming record, Forever For Now. They were collaborating extensively back then, as they also wrote “Savannah” and “Salvation” together, each of which made it onto the album (and also “Magic,” which will appear on the deluxe version.) And indeed, “All This Time” may have been a good fit for Forever For Now. The song has a big chorus and a lot of space and drama, summons up the “wind in my hair”-sort of vibes, and this is reportedly what Rob Cavallo wanted for this record.
So, here are the possible lyrics to “All This Time.” Hopefully some parts of it are somewhere near to what we might find in a hypothetical booklet.
